نجران.. جدلية المكان والشخوص “دراسة أنثروبولوجية” من خلالها تم فتح منافذ بحثية جديدة في دراسة المدن، وهذه الدراسة عن نجران المدينة التي تعود إلى حضارات ما قبل التاريخ ومرّت عليها ثقافات الإنسان في كل مراحلها وتوجت بالتوحيد الإبراهيمي كبداية لانتشار التوحيد في شبه الجزيرة العربية من الموسوية إلى المسيحية حتى فجر الإسلام.
كما تؤكد الدراسات التي أعدّها الرحالة الأوروبيون الذين توافدوا على الجزيرة العربية منذ نهاية القرن الثامن عشر وكذلك المسوحات التي أجرتها الهيئة العامة للسياحة والآثار السعودية في منطقة نجران أن تاريخًا يمتد إلى ما قبل الميلاد بمئات السنين، استنادًا إلى بعض المواقع الأثرية التي توجد بها كتابات ونقوش قديمة تعود إلى وقت بعيد، وتم اكتشاف بعضها بواسطة رحالة أوروبيين، ومنهم هاري سانت جون فلبي، وجونزاك وجاك ريكمانز، وليبنز، وألبرت جام وغيرهم.
وجد المؤلف في بحثه أن لغات أهل نجران كانت متعددة منها الرومية ومنها الحميرية إلا أنها كانت محدودة قياسًا للغة العربية التي كانت سائدة عندهم. أضف إلى ذلك أن أخبار أهل نجران على صعيد الشعر والحكمة والأمثال والخطابة قد أبدعوا فيها فكان منهم عدد كبير من الشعراء والحكماء.
وقد تم تدعيم الكتاب بدراسات بحثيه متعمقة ونقوش وصور ومخطوطات وجدت في منطقة نجران.
