قالت وعيناها ترمقان الأفق: أحلم ببحر أملكه لا يشاركني فيه أحد.. ليس لأني محبة للتملك، ولا لأني أنانية أريد بحرًا على مقاسي ألبسه ويلبسني، أخلعه ويخلعني كقمصان النوم الناعمة بعيدًا عن الأعين المتلصصة والأنفاس المخاتلة.. أريد شاطئًا أمتلك ماءه، كي يغسل آثاري وأدراني وثقل المدينة الصاخبة.. تأوهت بشيء من التأثر وعقب هنيهة صمت اتبعت بصوت متحشرج مبحوح، انظر إلى مدينتي التي تطل على ثلاثة أبحر، وكأنها تشمت بي وبضعفي وضعتي؛ لأنني لا أستطيع أن أراها إلا من نوافذ الرجال.. هذه السخرية حامضة تلهب صدري.. أتوق للصراخ بين مجمع البحار الثلاثة لأعلن تمردي وأتعرى من كل الزوائد، التي ألحقت بجسدي الصغير عنوة، حتى استحالت إلى دمية في سرير هزاز يدفعه رجال المدينة الأشاوس.. أريد أن ألبس فستانًا قرمزيًّا قصيرًا عاري الكتفين، وأنتعل الرمل وأطلق شعري من (توكاته) الفراشية وأطيره كنوارس.. ياااااااه أي خبال يجتبيني، لعلي جننت، أو قد أصابني مس من جنون.. النوم وحده الذي سيبدده. تمددت على سريرها متقرفصة.. وضعت يديها بين ركبتيها، وأحنت رأسها حتى لامس ذقنها صدرها. قالت بصوت يختنق: أرجوك دعني أنام.. أغلق الباب خلفك. وقبل أن أواري جسدي عنها قالت: أرجوك امسح كل هذا الجنون أو هذر ما قبل النوم من ذاكرتك.. في الغد سأكون أحسن.
