تحت عنوان (يكفيني) يقول الشاعر: القصيدة المعلَقة بسدرة البيت/ بدأتها والشمس مغلَفة بالنجوم/ لما وقفت بسفح الحب/ ورحت أكتب عن الرحلة/ غلبني الدمع، أكثر خيالي طاح/ وأنا في غبَة النور/ قلت للفجر: كثر الله خيرك عجَل بنا (...) فلا تسألني عن بلاغة المقامات/ سأفتح بسطات القلب على مفارق المدن/ وأنزع غرائزي من أكمامها/ كل يوم ساختار لهجة/ يكفيني خفَة امرأة في منعطفات الكلام/ حتى إذا أويت وحيداً إلى فراشي/ سأنام ملء عيون الموت/ حالماً بيوم القيامة".
يضم الكتاب ما يقارب الربعون قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من عناوينها: "الطرق"، "خيان"، "سلام"، صورتها"، "أحلى"، "ياسمين"، "كيف نهارك"، "يا حلاته"، "حسبك"، "البيت"...إلخ.
