نصوص مليكة عبد الحميد، في "يختبئ في ظلّي" عابرة كالريح، أفكارها تلامس سطح الأشياء من دون أن تتوغل في العمق، وهو مكمن روعتها. تحقن الشاعرة نصها بحمولات ومعاني أقرب إلى أن تكون جزءاً من سيرة حياة عابرة في الأمكنة والأزمنة، فالكلمات هنا تأتي بصفتها تعبيراً عن "الذات" التي تكتمل فرديتها حينما تواجه العالم وحيدة، هذا المصير يتجسد في النص إصغاءً عميقاً من قبل الشاعرة لذاتها، ولِما هو خفيّ ويعز على التوصيف في تجربة مرور الإنسان بالعالم والوجود، وقد انسلت بنفس سردي ملحمي وإحساس رفيع بقيمة الإنسان/ الفرد ونظرته إلى ذاته وإلى الوجود.
تحت عنوان (مليكة) تقول الشاعرة:أقف دائماً في منتصف الأشياء العابرة..أنا الياء المتأرجحة (بين) الباء والنون..باء لا تفضي إلى الباب للهروب..ولا نون تشبه النسوة..وأنا الياء الدخيلة على اسمي.
الكتابة عند مليكة عبد الحميد تتمحور حول أنسجة الكون الشعري في قيمته الحياتية لكتابة المعنى وتتماهى بذات الشاعرة إلى حد الذوبان في أفق المعنى الحياتي والجوهر الشعري وحتى في فوضى الذاكرة ومغامرتها في تأسيس خطاب شعري فلسفي حقيقي يجسد بمعنى ما تجربة الشاعرة في أقصى مدياتها على طول مسيرتها الكتابية الغنية والمتنوعة.
