في كتابه «وجود الله بين العلم والمنهج العلمي» يقدم الكاتب علي ديلان دراسة بنائية وتحليلية نقدية تستهدف أهم نصوص الإلحاد وفق منظور العلم والمنهج العلمي ويفعل ذلك الكاتب من منطلق الشعور بالمسؤولية تجاه ما يعانيه الإنسان من كدمات (إبستمية وايديولوجية) كان ضحيتها برأيه الفلسفة الموضوعية وأسس الأخلاق والقيم المثالية، ومن هنا تأتي أهمية تأليف هكذا كتاب يتوخى مؤلفه اتباع المنهج العلمي السائد في العلوم الحديثة من غير أن يعتمد المناهج العقلية التجريدية، مستهدفاً أهم نصوص الإلحاد في عالمنا المعاصر، من دون أن يغفل عن مناقشة الملاحدة مناقشة معمقة، كان الهدف منها – وهو مسعى هذا الكتاب – إثبات "وجود الله" حصراً، دون إثبات الأديان المرسومة فيه، مما يعني أن النتيجة المترقبة منه تخطئة الاتجاهين: الإلحادي واللاأدري، وتصحيح الرؤية الربوبية والدينية في خصوص المسألة محل البحث, ما يميز هذا الكتاب عن غيره من كتب الأديان التي تحاول إثبات "وجود الله" اعتماده المناهج العلمية، وأهمها المنهج الاستقرائي القائم على أساس حساب الاحتمالات والمنهج البوبري المعروف بالمنهج التكذيبي، وضمن هذا السياق يمضي الكتاب في البحث عن الفرضية العلمية وشرائطها ومجالات ثبوتها وتحققها، على اعتبار أن "فرضية الإله الصانع فرضية علمية"، كما ويبحث الكتاب عن طبيعة القرائن أو القضايا المؤيدة أو المكذّبة لكل فريق في سواء كان يؤمن بوجود الله أم لم يؤمن.
