"كُلّمَا هِمْتُ ارتجف خيال البرزخ" مجموعة شعرية رائعة ارتكز فيها الشاعر على مقاربة نفسية – تأملية، لينسج من خيوطها حكايته الخاصة، حكاية الزمن مع "أنين الحلم" و"برزخ الجسد" ليهيم في عالم من الخيال الشعري المتدفق بقصائدٍ وضع فيها كل خبراته المعرفية والجمالية والإبداعية لتخرج إلى النور في كتيب بين دفتيه معانٍ إنسانية تسمو فوق واقعنا المتعب، المثقل بالهموم والأحزان، فأراد الشاعر أن يصف لنا "أنين الحلم" فنراه يقول في هذه القصيدة: سقطت وجوه على مسكن الليلِ، واسترابتْ حمم تلوك الفرحَ، وأزهار تُمشِّطُ صفر السنْ من المعنى انبجس الأنينُ، فكن مثلما تريدْ، (...) على الورق الأخضر أنتْ درجت أحلامُكَ امتهان نفسها، وجسُدكَ يحاولُ امتهان الساعة! "كُلّمَا هِمْتُ ارتجف خيال البرزخ" شهادة على اجتهاد شاعر أكثر تميزاً وإنسانية كغيره من الشعراء المعاصرين في الأدب العربي الحديث.
