لولا العينين لما كتب الشعر، والشاعر سيروان ياملكي لا يزين نفسه وحرفه إلا بأصداء روحه، ويترك الشعر منداحاً كما انطلق من صدره، مخترقاً عيون المحبوبة، ليسكن فيها حلواً، عذباً، عذوبة كلمات الشاعر تحت عنوان (امرأة وبلاد) يسأل سيروان ياملكي المرأة: "سألتها../ هل تعشقين شاعراً/ يُقيم في جنونه/ يرحلُ في جنونهِ/ يصحو على جنونهِ!؟/ - بضحكة ملعونةٍ/ قالت.. نعم أكادُ -/ ترجّلي قلتُ لها/ حُطّي الرِّكاب/ هنا، ../ هذي هي البلاد". تمتاز قصائد الديوان بكثافتها وموسقتها وصورها المبتكرة، وتشكل في مجملها رؤى شاعر استطاع بعنفوان الشعر التعبير عن معَانٍ إنسانية سامية ودالة أهمها الحب والصدق والوفاء، وأسمى ما فيها (حكاية وطن) يقول: الشاعر: "إذا أردتني/ عن وطني/ أحكي لكَ الحكاية/ عليك الانتظار/ عُمراً بطولِهِ/ لأنتهي../ من أدمُعي/ وبكاي". يضم الديوان ما يزيد على سبعون قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث قسمها الشاعر إلى ثلاثة أقسام جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: 1- ".. وعينيك"، 2- "فِكَرّ ليست للتداول"، 3- "خذوني من وطني".
