في عوالم الشاعر عبد الرحمن سعد لا فرق يبدو بين القصيد والحب، كما هو لا فرق بين الواقع والفانتازيا، حيث تتلاشى الحدود وتزدهر المعاني وتتشابك وتسير عبر مديات واسعة في مجموعته الشعرية المعنونة "احتشادٌ عند ظِلِّ القصيد" في اشتغالات ذكية منفتحة على نصوص حداثية تستمد آفاقها الفنية والإبداعية من مقتربات الروح والقلب والنفس؛ ولتقول ترنيمة (عشق خاصة) ضاجة بمعاني الفرح والجمال حيناً، والحنين واللوعة حيناً أخرى؛ وتمشهد كل هذه البنى في لغة آسرة قادرة على الدفع والتواصل مع المتلقي، وهذا امتياز الشاعر.
في القصيدة المعنونة "بصيص للضوء قابل للازدياد" يخاطب الشاعر محبوبته شعراً فيقول: "حبيبتي لا تؤُاخذيني/ إن فرطتُ يوماً في لقائكِ/ لا تلوميني أنْ افترضتُ لحظةً اختفاءكِ/ فهكذا أصبحتْ العيونُ ملأى بالضباب/ والقلوبُ ملأى بالضجرِ/ والطرقات ملأى بالمطبات والانكسارات.../ أخذ الحنين يترنح في الطرقات/ ثملٌ يصيحُ فيها/ مُشردٌ فيها/ لم يعدْ أحداً يهتمُ به/ يعتني به/ فالكل هائمٌ/ الكلُّ حائرُ/ والزمانُ جائرٌ/ والمكانُ مائلٌ نحو الهاوية/ عزيزتي.../ حدثيني عن الفرح الآت/ عن رجعةِ الحب الذي ضاع/ والأملِ الآت/ فما عدتُ أحتملُ أثقال الزمانِ/ وتبخر الأحلام...". هكذا يكتب الشاعر عن هجيع حنينه سطوراً، يبعثها إلى امرأة هاج شوقاً إليها قلبه، وقد أفلح في اختيار كلماته وعباراته التي بدت محاولة لخلق شيء غير عادي في الشعر، شيء يحتوي حداثة اللغة وتقنياتها.
يضم الكتاب ثلاثة عشرة قصيدة نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "احتشاد عند ظل القصيد"، "متاهات ثلاثة"، "في ثوبك الأبيض بدرٌ"، "بصيص للضوء قابل للازدياد"، "فتاة ومرفأ مهجورٌ"، "كما الحلمُ تأتين"، "فجيعة القصيدة"، "كأني حول أزفة الحرف اللدْن"، "لا تصمتْ"، "ميقات الغفلة"، "حقول عمياءٌ"، "ساريةُ الصوت"، و"ولوجٌ معفرٌ بالحنين".
