الكتابة هي الأفق الذي يطلّ منه أزيان الشريف على معنى السلام، والكتابة عنده في - لأحيا بسلام - ليست مجرد امتداد للذات، بل هي حركةٌ دؤوبة نحو المستقبل، من حيث أن كل وجود هو إمكانية تنتظر التحقيق. "أكتب بوجع «لأحيا بسلام» / لأتنفس كالأنام/ لأعيش واقعاً لا يمت بصلةٍ إلى الأحلام/ لأكون حقيقةً ليست بأوهام/ لأفخر بنفسي كسابق الأيام/ لأشعر بأني نضجت ولا داعي للغرام/ لأبعد عن البشر وإن كان يكثر معي الكلام/ لأهدأ في ساعات ليلي وأغط براحةٍ في المنام/ بعد كل هذا/ «سأحيا أنا باهتمام»...". يتضح من الصورة الشعرية أن الذات/ الكاتبة أو الأنا/ الشعرية هي عنصر أساسي من عناصر تشكيل الفضاء الشعري، فهي فضاءٌ له ارتباطاته بعلاقاتٍ زمانية واجتماعية وثقافية تشكّلُ هويته وله مكانته في ذاكرة الشاعر السيكولوجية كما هو فضاءٌ نصيٌّ ودلاليٌّ ومنظوري معاً. ومع الدخول أكثر في الرؤية الشعرية للنص، نجد الشاعر ينتقل بعوالمه إلى التعبير عن حبّه للأهل والوطن والمرأة والأصدقاء ويجمع بينهم شعرياً "... أرى في بعدهم حرماناً شهياً/ يشدّني إليهم، يحبّبني بهم أكثر/ أو لو كانوا قريبين/ سيزداد مكانهم في داخلي؟".
تضم المجموعة «لأحيا بسلام» عدداً من القصائد النثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الأتية: "أحق الناس بصحبتي"، "عابرون ولكن"، "لصداقات تأبى النسيان"، "طِرْ بي"، "، "إلى غائب في القلب حاضر"، "مُتنفّس"، "ثرثرة"، "لتطيب نفسي"، "طُهر"، "فرحة"، (...) وقصائد أخرى.
