الوجه سر تميز المرأة والرجل معاً، لِما له قدرة على الإيحاء، والجذب، والإثارة، يكتبه محمد عامر الزبيدي قصيدة ذات «وَجهان بين مَرايا الحُزن» لذلك لن نكون أمام وجهان/ ذاتين، إحداهما داخلية معتمة وأخرى خارجية شفافة متوحدتين أو متقابلتين كالمرآة، بل نحن إزاء ذات وحيدة تنوجد داخل القصيدة، ومن هنا يكتسب النص الشعري عند الزبيدي أهميته لِما يحيل إليه من حب وجمال وشاعرية في البحث عن امرأة تتوحد ذاته بذاتها، حد التماهي، وهذه المرأة لا وجود حقيقي لها؛ فهي مصنوعة من مادة الشِعر، كتبها شاعرنا وصاغ ملامحها وفق رؤية متفردة للشعر ووظيفته المتخيلة.
من عوالم قصيدة «وجهانِ بينَ مَرايا الحُزن» نقرأ:
"… وأبحث عنكِ يا امرأةً/ ترتِّقُ بالغيابِ ثقوبَ خيمتِها البعيدةْ/ وتملأُ بالرمادِ عيونَ صبوتها العنيدةْ/ وتسكنُ في حقائبِها/ تنام على حصيرِ العمرِ/ تغرقُ في أتونِ الشعرِ/ لا تفضي بشيءٍ من رحيقِ القلبِ إلا/ بين أوردةِ القصيدةْ/ ولا ترويْ حكايا الليلِ إلا للصدى المبحوحِ/ والسحب الشريدةْ/ وما زالتْ../ ككلِّ مراكبِ الأحزانِ في الدنيا/ بلا مأوى…".
