"يا طَفلة" قصائد نثرية تُجلجلُ بمحبة الشاعر مفرح يحيى زريقان لمن اعتبرها رفيقة الغربة، المرأة التي مسّه منها الحبّ، فوقع صريعاً له؛ ولها عاشقا،ً يقيم صلاة العشق في محرابها، ولشدة خوفه عليها حبسها في مجرةٍ خاصةٍ، هي مجرة الشِعر ليولد فيها جديده "يا طفلة". قدم له بما يصفه بـ "قبل البداية":"كانت بداية غربتي مؤلمة حد الانهيار. لكن كان لقلبي رأي آخر في التصدي لها في مدينة شيكاغو الأمريكية، ولدت كل كلمات هذا الكتاب لتلك الأنثى الساحرة والتي أرى بأنها تستحق أكثر من هذه الكلمات كانت تلك الأنثى؛ السلاح الحقيقي لي في مجابهة قسوة غربتي ومنها استمددت القوة في هزيمة تلك الغربة وانضمت إلينا الرياض لاحقاً لتمدّنا بروح الوطن، مغلَّفة بطيف حروفها".في الخطاب الشعري تبدو المرأة هي المُلهم الأول للشاعر فهي رفيقة دربه، في حله وترحاله، يستوحي منها تجربته الشعرية لذلك كان واضحاً في تعبيره عنها، واختياره للغة المناسبة لحالاته، حتى الألفاظ تبين منزلة المرأة عن الشاعر وشدَّة احتياجه وتعلقه بها إذ وظّف كل شيء لوصفها بما فيه الخيال الذي ساعده في بناء صورٍ فنيةٍ رائعة تناسب موضوع ديوانه.تحت عنوان "أنتِ من يستحق الحبّ" يقول الشاعر:"رفيقة الغربة،/ما زال حبك في ضلوعي يَخفقُ/ولئن بكيت الفراق صبابةً ولوعةً../فاستحال لأدمعي ألا تنطق../أيا رفيقة الغربة، إنني:/أغبط ذلك المساء/الذي يغشاك بليله البهيج../وأغبط هذا الهواء العليل/الذي يهفو على وجنتيك!/وتلك الرياض الزاهرة/العامرة بك وأهلها!/إنه ذلك الشعور/الذي يختلج داخلي نحوك ولم يتغيّر!/رأيت عينيك بحراً أمواجه تتابع../ودعوت الله في أعماقه،/أن أغرق!...".
يضم الديوان ثلاثون قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث وأخرى نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "إلى من احتلت قلبي"، "أنتِ من يستحق الحب"، "دائماً أرتوي بكِ"، "حتى اسمك قمة!"، "أرجوكِ.. اغفري لي"، "جمالٌ في داخلك"، "قرار الإنصاف"، (...) وعناوين أخرى.
