أنختار الحُبّ أم هو من يختارنا؟ أنبحث عنه أم هو من يبحث عنّا، هو السؤال الذي يدور حوله عالم الشاعر أحمد بن سليمان اللهيب الشعري في "حين النوافذ امرأة" وهو يقف على حافة الذكرى يبحث عن امرأة مسّهُ منها الهوى، وعرف معها ذائقة الحُبّ، وعاشها حُلم يقظة، لم يرد مفارقته أبدا... ففتح له النوافذ مشرعة، ليتنسم عبيره ويحيا.. يقول الشاعر: حين النوافذ امرأة/ النوافذ مُشرَعةٌ للسهرُ/ ومُتعبةٌ بالنّحيبُ/ وحالمةٌ بالمطرُ/ حينَ تغفو الشوارعُ تبْسمُ أضواؤها للغريبُ/ وترسمُ واجهةَ الحُزنِ.../ تغتالكَ الأمنياتُ.../ فتنزاحُ ذاكرةٌ من حنينْ:/ قلِ: الحُزنُ من أمرِ قلبي/ وما أملكُ اليومَ إلا قليلاً من الصّبر/ وبعضاً من الذكرياتِ التي لم تَزلُ/ فأنى لقلبيَ ما تأفكون". في الخطاب الشعري، وظف الشاعر ألفاظاً من طبيعة النفس البشرية، فقصائده تعمل على تجسيد كل الحالات التي عددها من خلال عناوينه الشعرية، كـ "إيراق يوغل في محجر ذاكرتي"، و" صوتنا الظاهرة"، و"رسالة إلى سيدي الذي لم يحضر" وغيرها، فكان ملامساً لشغاف القلب في تعبيره، واختياره للغة المناسبة لتلك الحالات، وخاصة المعاني التي خص بها المرأة لما تميزت عنده عن غيرها من البشر. يضم الكتاب قصائد نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "ما لم يقله الشعراء من مذكرات أبي الطيب المتنبي المنسية"، "قراءة في أروقة لندن"، "حين النوافذ امرأة"، "جنة من زنابق أهدابها"، "أحرفٌ ضائعة"، "البحث عن مخرج في ذاكرة حمراء"، "المرأة/القصيدة والبحر"، "خلافنا"، "نسرنا"، (...) وعناوين أخرى.
