الشعر شعر، وما يتبدل فيه هو "الخطاب الشعري" الذي وإن بدا يمزج المتناقضات في عنوان واحد هو «قوة من بعد ضعف» - حسب وظيفة العتبة - إلّا أنه يعد مؤشراً على رؤية شاعره "علي فؤاد الحواج" الخاصة للكينونة الإنسانية ببعدها الذاتي، والتي هي غالباً في حالة تحدٍ دائم لتجاوز ضعفها إلى القوة والتي هي سمة البشر لتأكيد وجودهم ومن ثم الاستمرارية بإثراء هذا الوجود بقيم الحب والجمال ما أمكن ذلك؛ وهذا التحقق للمعنى، سواء على المستوى الدلالي أو الفني الجمالي أو على المستوى الإيحائي.. يبرز جلياً في النص المكتوب لدى شاعرنا الحواج ويبين مدى قوة عاطفته وشفافيتها وصدقها.
يقول الشاعر علي فؤاد الحواج في تعريفه للشعر: "الشعر ليس كما يظن الناس/ أغنيةً وعزفاً/ الشعر أنْ تصِف الجمال/ بكل ما أوتيت/ نزفاً". هذه شذرة من شذرات هذا الديوان الشعري الجميل الذي يحمل لقارئه نبوءةُ شِعرٍ وشاعر، فالشعر لا ينطق إلا عن الهوى، ولا ينقش حروفه إلا من تلاواتٍ، ولا يدينَ إلّا بدينَ الحبِّ. ولا يُكتب إلا بلغة المشاعر. إنه الشاعر علي فؤاد الحواج الذي بدا وكأنه يُكمل وجوده برحيق الشعر وعوالمه الساحرة.
قدّم للديوان بقراءة نقدية عالية الأداء الأستاذ حسين كاظم الخليفة ومما جاء فيها: "شيء جميل أن تكون لشاب في بداية العشرينات من عمره همة عالية وتطلُّع لأن يكون اسمه حاضراً في عالم الفكر والشعر والأدب من خلال قرض الشعر وكتابة المقالات المتنوعة ونشرها على صفحات مواقع الشبكة العنكبوتية مواجهاً جمهوره بشجاعة تحسب له في هذا العمر المبكر. وأضاف: (...)، لم يكتف شاعرنا بأن ينشر أشعاره هنا وهناك، بل تقدم بخطوات واثقة وعزم على إصدار مجموعة شعرية تشترك نصوصها كميَّاً، فكل مقطوعة مكونة من أربعة أبيات بما اصطلح عليه بـ (الرباعيات) إلا بعض النصوص التي شذَّت عن السياق الكمي المذكور...".
يضم الديوان قصائداً متنوعة الثيمات والأغراض الشعرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "تعريف"، "تحديق"، "سباق"، "مقاومة"، "النضال الأكمل"، "قلعة من أمل"، "استنطاق"، "حلمت وأنا"، "من بعد ضعف قوة"، "هروب"، "ودْق"، (...) وقصائد أخرى.
