..وإذا كان الكاتب بحراً يزخر بدرر الكلمات ويفيض بأمواج المواضيع والعبارات، فأنا لست سوى جدول أحتفظ في أعماقي ببقايا الحصيات من الكلمات القليلة والمفردات الشاردة وأتوق إلى نسيمات عليلة من الجمل المتواضعة. هل يغلب التناقض المنطق يا ترى! ويتبدل الجدول إلى نهر والنهر إلى بحر؟ هذا ما ألهج به بصدق وأقوله بصراحة. لكن إذا كانت هذه الكتابة بالذات عزيزة على نفسي، وحبيبة إلى قلبي، فإنها كبيرة على قلمي وثقيلة على صفحاتي. كيف لا؟! وقد أردك الصدأ ذهني، بعد المصيبة التي ألمت بي وأصابتني، فأطاحت بثقلها وأزالت بوقوعها الألفية التي كانت بيني وبين الجمل والكلمات في فترة من الفرات. لقد اغتربت عن الكتابة والقراءة، كما اغتربت عن الأهل والوطن، عشرات السنين. ولقد تسلسلت الأحداث وطالب، وكثرت معها حلقات سلاسل البعد، فكان البعد عن الوطن، وكان البعد عن الكتابة، وأخيراً كان البعد عن الولد الوحيد.
