«عقلٌ لا يشيخ ونفسٌ لا تهدأ» العنوان الذي اختارته الكاتبة عائشة الريّس لكتابة «مذكرات على شرفات التأمل» تندرج في ما يُمكن تسميته اصطلاحاً (كتابة الذات) تلك التي تحاول صاحبتها التعبير عن هوية الذات (الأنثوية) تحديداً؛ وهذا ما يجعلها تمتلك فضلاً عن واقعيتها؛ لغة رومانتيكية من نوع جديد؛ بمعنى أن الأشياء الموصوفة بـ (اللغة) و(المخيلة الفنية) لا تنفصل عن الذات/الكاتبة بشفافيتها المرسومة بتفاصيلها الدقيقة، إضافة إلى أنها كتابة تكشف عن علاقة عميقة بالحياة ووعياً وموقفاً نقدياً لكل ما يحصل في هذا العالم الواسع.
ولأن خير من يعبر عن كتابه المؤلف كتبت عائشة الريّس تحت عنوان "لماذا هذا الكتاب" تقول: "أحياناً تكتبُ شيئاً على قصاصة صغيرة وتحشرها بين أوراقِ كتابٍ ما وتضعه على الرف وتنسى. أو أنك تكتبُ فكرةً أو عبارة على هاتفك المحمول كملاحظة ثم تنسى. تكتب، على أي شيء، ما طرأ على بالك حينما كنت تقترب من حافة النوم وتبتعد عن اليقظة، تسرعُ لجذب أي شيء حولك لتدوّن عليه ما مر في ذهنك مرورَ البرق، ولعلك تكتب بحضور القلب لكنك، أيضاً، تنسى تلك الكلمات.
وبعد حين من الزمن ترجع إلى ما نسيت، من غير موعد مسبق، فتتراءى لك الذكرى بمكانها وزمانها، وأحياناً تذكر حتى تفاصيلها. وأحياناً لا تذكر متى كتبتها أصلاً، تقول: لعلي نسيت، بل إن ذكراها انعدمت تماماً.
عندما تفكّرت يوماً بالكلام الذي يخرج من فمٍ فلا يلبث إلا لحظات ويُنسى، إلا إن قُيّد بالتدوين، وهذا نادرٌ جدًّا، أخذتُ أكتب كل فكرة. ومنذ تفكّري في هذا الأمر أصبحتُ أفضل الثرثرة على ورق. وقد اعتدتُ على بثِّ شكواي إليه أيضاً. وورقٌ على ورقٍ حتى سئم الأقربون تناثر الأوراق، الأوراق الفارغة من المعنى في نظر البعض (...)".
