في كتابه المعنون «السيد الشيخ مُحمد المحمد الكسنزانُ الحسيني سيرة على خطى خير السير» يسرد المؤلف الدكتور لؤي فتّوحي، السيرة الطاهرة العطرة لعَلَمٍ من أعلام الإسلام وبدرٍ علا في سماء التصوّف والعرفان بالله. فالسيَّد الشَّيخ مُحَمَّد المُحَمَّد الكَسْنَزان الحُسَيني هو رئيس الطريقة العليّة القادريّة الكَسْنَزانِيّة، إحدى أكبر الطرق الصوفيّة، التي ينتشر مريدوها في مختلف أنحاء العالم. وتمتد أصول هذه الطريقة الكَسْنَزانِيّة إلى منبع كل الطرق الصوفيّة، ورسول الله مُحَمَّد صلّى الله عليه وسلم، الذي ينتسب إليه شيخنا الكريم من جهتي والده ووالدته.
يقدّم كتاب "السيد الشَّيخ مُحَمَّد المُحَمَّد الكَسْنَزان" سيرته بأسلوبٍ فريد، حيث يقصّها في سياق شرح المنهج الصوفي للوصول إلى الله عز وجل، كما أنه يعرض الفكر الصوفي، الذي يمثّل الجانب الروحي للإسلام، من خلال رواية سيرة هذا الشيخ الجليل. أي أنّ الكتاب يشرح التصوّف من خلال عرضه لسيرة أحد أساتذته، ويقدّم في الوقت نفسه هذه السيرة المباركة من خلال التعريف بالتصوّف.
وهكذا يقرن الكتاب شرحاً نظرياً وافياً للجانب الروحي للإسلام بعرضٍ لمنهجٍ عملي للتصوف، من خلال دراسة سيرة عالمٍ ربّاني عامِل. ويبيّن الكتاب بأن الإسلام هو عِلمٌ وعملٌ، فكرٌ وتطبيقٌ، عقلٌ وقلبٌ، وصاحِبٌ ومُصاحَبٌ: ... هَلْ أَتَّبِعُكَ عَلَى أَنْ تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمْتَ رُشْدًا [الكهف: 66].
يغطي الكتاب مختلف جوانب حياة الشَّيخ مُحَمَّد المُحَمَّد الكَسْنَزان الشخصية والدعوية، ويشرح مفهوم الطريقة العلية القادرية الكسنزانية، ويُعرّف بمشايخها، والدور الرئيسي الذي تلعبه الكرامات في سيرة مشايخ الطريقة، كما يُعرّف بخوارق العادات هذه التي يُكرمُ الله بها عباده المقربين، وبعض التجارب الروحية التي مرَّ بها الشيخ الكسنزان ثم يذكر إنجازات ومُساهمات دينية وثقافية واجتماعية في مسيرة صاحب السيرة.
