السخرية لا تتأتى من الأسلوب، بقدر ما هي سخرية مشهدية الواقع المسّير باللامنطق، وهي سخرية القيم والقناعات السائدة في المجتمع بجميع مؤسساته، المبنية على تناقضات المضمون وعدم تماسكه، وعلى التطبيق الشّكلي الهش وغير المجدي للأفكار التي لا تنبع من حاجة، والتي لا تفك عقدة ولا تفضي إلى حل، وحيث يتساوى الجهل مع الاستعمال الآلي لهيكل المعرفة ومظاهرها دون الحصول على جوهرها ومنهجها، وحيث يتساوى تطبيق القانون مع الممارسات اللاعقلانية واللامعقولة. من الإفراط في الواقعية، إلى الخيال، ومن الرمز، إلى التحليل والفلسفة والحكمة، ومن التفاصيل الذكية إلى شمولية الوعي، جبلت هذه الرواية التي تبعث المتعة في القراءة بأسلوبها الشيق الخالي من التكلّف، وبمضمونها العميق.
