كاتب وقاص عُماني، أغلب إصداراته بما كان يُسمَّى قديماً بأدب الخيال التأملي (Speculative Fiction)، الذي يجمع ثلاثية الخيال العلمي والفانتازيا والرعب، وله مقالات متفرقة في صحف عربية مختلفة.
عمل فنيَّ مختبرات مدارس في التربية منذ عام 2000م وحتى عام 2017م، ويتقلَّد حاليًّا منصب مشرف ثقافي في النادي الثقافي لفرع مسندم منذ بداية شهر يناير عام 2019م.

في جديده الروائي «من دون مرآة» يضعنا "محمد قرط الجزمي" أمام فضاء روائي غريب سواء على مستوى الخطاب الموجه أو الوقائع والأحداث التي تنتظمه، وهي غرابة يصنعها المتخيل الروائي في إحالة متعمدة إلى عالم الخيال العلمي.
وفي الرواية يسرد الجزمي حكاية "إسماعيل" الذي يقرر الذهاب إلى أفغانستان لنصرة إخوانه في الدين، في قناعة تامة منه أن مفهوم الجهاد في الإسلام لا حدود له، وهناك على أرض المعركة يتعرض لإصابة يفقد على أثرها وعيه "غيبوبة تامة" فيتلقفه القادة العسكريون الأميركان، ويسلمونه للأطباء في أمريكا بهدف إجراء تجربة محرمة دولياً هي "الاستنساخ" على غرار ما حصل في حالة النعجة (دوللي) مع فارق أنهم استخدموا الجين المكتشف حديثاً (كيبرا) الخاص بذاكرة البشر، بحيث جعلوا النسخة الجديدة نسخة مطابقة للأصل، يحتوي عقلها على نفس ذاكرة الأصل، وهكذا تحولت النسخة الجديدة إلى ذات (إسماعيل) الحقيقي، بنفس تكوينه وبنفس عمره، وبنفس ذاكرته كذلك.
بعد نجاح العملية، أعاد القادة العسكريين الرجل الأصلي إلى المجاهدين المسلمين، مقايضين به عدداً من الأسرى الأمريكيين، باعتباره في غيبوبة، ولأن التخلص منه بالنسبة إليهم خير من التكفل به أو قتله.. أما النسخة، التي خضعت للتجربة، فقد هجم بعض المجاهدين على المقر العلمي الذي تتواجد فيه، وفكوا أسرها...
تتوالى الأحداث في الرواية، حتى ترجع النسخة الأصل من إسماعيل، والأخرى المستنسخة إلى بلادها وهناك يفاجأ الجميع أيهما إسماعيل!!
