الرسائل تذهب مرة واحدة وتعود علينا ألف مرة.. نكتبها ونعود لقراءتها أكثر منهم.. كنت أكتب قصتنا بشكل مبعثر.. لأني لم أكن قادراً على جمع الشظايا المكسورة بأعماقي.. مر وقت طويل حتى استطعت جمعها.. هذه محاولة أخيرة لترتيب شظايا الزجاج وإعادتها لأماكنها.. ربما تلتئم المرايا.. لكن لا بد أن يبقى بها أثر الانكسار..".
على المستوى النصّي، تبدأ الرواية بالشجن وتنتهي به. وعلى المستوى الوقائعي ثمة تجربة حافلة بكل أنواع المشاعر، التي يمكن أن تجمع رجلٌ بامرأة، غير أن الرواي/ السارد على ما يبدو هنا يحاول عيش قصة حبّ تبدو متخيلة أو في عالمٍ افتراضي لإمرأةٍ متمردةٍ جامحةً كفرس تختزن في داخلها كاتباً ولا تسمح بظهوره العلني، تدخر شيئاً ولا تريد الإفصاح عنه، وتتعادل الشخصيتان هنا في أن كلٌ منهما يبحث عن شيء ما ينقصه ويطارده، هو يبحث عن حبّ مجهول، مرّ عليه صدفة كطيف ثم ما لم أنّ غاب، وهي كجدتها حواء تمارس لعبة الإغواء بالاختفاء.
وبعد، "أخيراً انتهيت منك" هي رواية عن المرأة والرجل معاً، لا تخاطب رجل محدد أو امرأة محددة، بل هي موجهة إلينا جميعاً، لعلها تسهم في فهم معنى الحب الحقيقي الذي نجح في صوغه سعود الحمد في عمل فني إبداعي يستحق القراءة.
