وهكذا، في سياق "اجتماعي - سياسي" وفي تصاعد درامي مثير للجدل تأتي رواية «جزء من تاريخي.. عقيلة وقاسم يبكي على كتفيها» لتحكي قصة حبّ وحرب، بوقائعٍ حيّة، وأحداث تراكمية وأبطال من هذا الزمان. نسائها عقيلة، ووئام، ورجالها قاسم، وعادل، وقد ابتلوا بما يعرف الحب من طرف واحد في معادلة صعبة يكون فيها للقدر لعبته فيما بينهم، وليصبح كل واحد منهم ملجأً للآخر، وعالمه المفقود الذي يبحث عنه...
من أجواء الرواية نقرأ:
"... وصلت عتبة قاسم طرقت على الباب ودخلت إذ الباب مفتوحٍ.. وجدته بعينيه الذابلتين على الكنبة يحدق في اللاشيء ويبتسم أحياناً ويعود إلى ملامحه المكتئبة. عرفت بأنه يسترجع الذكريات منذ التقاها بالأزرق حتى غادرته في البياض. شرحت له بأنني وعادل ماضيين كي نوثق ما حدث في خارج هذه الحدود. حاولت أن أخفف من وقع كونه يفقد شخصين مهمين في فترة زمنية قصيرة بقولي إني سأبقى على اتصال به لكن كلماتي كانت باهتة.. ذابلة.. لا تحمل العزاء له. قلت له إنني لا أملك الكثير من الوقت لكني قبل أن أمضي أريد أن أسلمه خاتم عادل.. فأنا الآن في مرحلة سلام داخلي ولو كان مؤقتاً بعد أن تخلصت من رباطي به على الرغم بأنني ما زلت أكن له الكثير من المحبة. وطلبت منه أن يتخلص منه متى أحس أنه يستطيع ابتلاع حبة الأمس المرة والتعايش معها.
كانت المفاجأة بأن قاسم لم يقبل أخذ الخاتم، بل أتى بخاتم وئام الذي انتقاه بعناية: "أعتقد أنه يلائم إصبعك". تفاجأت.. نعم إنه ملائم.. لكن ما الذي يعنيه كل هذا؟!
وضع خاتم وئام في كفي بجانب خاتم عادل: "أنتما تستحقان السعادة معاً... اذهبي للقائه".
أمسكت الخاتمين.. ودعت قاسم بدمعٍ حارٍ.. وذهبت إلى من أثق به لندون جزءاً من تاريخي".
