الذاكرة هي أشياء الأنثى/الشاعرة التي استثمرتها سارة الأحدب في سردها الشعري المعنون "سطور من الذاكرة"، فكانت مناجاتها استدعاء لذاكرة مفتقدة على جدار الزمن، وظلالها تحيل إلى ثنائية جميلة كائنة بين رجل وامرأة بوصفهما، صورة مكتملة، عن حياة نهائية مدركة بوعي الشاعرة، مع توظيف للرمز في نصها الذي جعلته محملاً بالدلالات والمعاني التي لا حصر لها.
في القصيدة المعنونة «طريق النسيان» نقرأ للشاعرة الأحدب:
"في طريقي إلى النسيان.. دونتك/ في سطورٍ نزفت كثيراً من الكلمات/ ودموعٍ سالت على الوجنات/ وفوضى كوابيس وإضرابات/ وشوقٍ فُسرَ بالأحلام لقاءات/ في طريقي إلى النسيان/ محتدةً برأيي كنت/ لن التفتَ لأرى وجهك في الرسمات/ ولن أشتمَّ رائحتك في العطورات/ سأتلف كل الذكريات...". وبهذا المعنى تعبِّر سارة الأحدب شعراً عن أصعب لحظة نفسية تتعرض لها الأنثى بعد تأرجح ذاكرتها، ومخيالها بين ماضٍ تلاشى ومستقبلٍ يبدأ ولادته العسيرة الآن.
يضم الكتاب ثلاثة وثلاثون قصيدة نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "الحكاية"، "وجدتك ولم تجدني"، "استحالة"، "قدر"، "الوليد"، "يا أنت"، "غرفتي"، "أمنيات"، "اشتهاء"، "خيانة"، (...) وقصائد أخرى.
