"حاولت أن ألملم نفسي، وأقف على قدميّ مجدداً. قلت لنفسي كما كنت أقول لهن إنه ليس بآخر الرجال، لكن تلفّتُ حولي فلم أجد أحداً يشبهه عندها أيقنت أنه ليس بآخر الرجال لكن لا أحد يشبهه.أعلم أن هناك أفضل منه، لكنني لا أريد سواه بعيوبه وأخطائه، كما اعتدت عليه وكما قبله قلبي. قلت لنفسي لا تبكي فهو من خسرك ولست أنتِ.لم تستطيع دموعي أن تصدق كذبتي لأني أنا من خسرت فعلاً. أنا من تلف قلبي وعقلي. بكيت كثيراً وتألمت كثيراً. حينها لم أتمنّى أحد يواسي حزني ويعزيني فيه سواه".هذا المقتبس من رواية (زهرة تشرين) للروائية أمجاد العيدان يحيل إلى أننا أمام نوعاً من الرواية الذي يتم التركيز فيه على المسائل ذات العلاقة بخصوصية المرأة، أي يتم فيه نبذ الصورة النمطية السائدة للمرأة من حيث هي عاجزة، والتركيز على الدور الذي تستطيع أن تضطلع به إذا أعطيت الفرصة الضرورية المناسبة على نحو ما نرى في هيفاء بطلة الرواية التي تطلب الطلاق من زوجها بعد أن اكتشفت زواجه السري بخادمة سابقة للعائلة وأنجابه منها ولدين. تغادر الزوجة الكويت إلى موطن والدتها لبنان وتصطحب ابنتها كادي معها للدراسة، وهناك في البلد الجديد تقرر هيفاء فتح أتيلييه للتجميل اختارت له اسم (زهرة تشرين) وتبدأ وابنتها حياة أخرى لا تلبث أن تصاحبها خيبات أمل وخسران، فالبحث عن حبّ جديد وزواج جديد ليس مأمون النتائج دائماً!!
