"قُطب حِنّة هي رواية اجتماعية تناقش صراع المرأة مع مختلف الثقافات والطبقات في الأردن، من خلال مذيعة قررت أن تتكلم.. أن تفضح قصتها ورحلتها الطويلة مع المعاناة على أمل أن تصل لأهدافها.. أن تصرخ بوجه المجتمع معلنة أنها امرأة حرّة رغم كل تناقضات حياتها؛ التي رسمتها بالحنّة فامتزجت مع جلدها وجلد الأموات والحيوانات المسلوخة".
هذا ما يقوله الكاتب معتصم صبيح عن عمله الإبداعي الجديد «قُطب حِنّة» الرواية التي تقول لقارئها أن الإنسان صنيعة الظروف إما ترفعه إلى الأعلى أو تهوي به إلى الأسفل، و"رنا" بطلة هذه الرواية كان عليها الاختيار بين أمرين: إما الخضوع وإما التمرد. فقررت الأخيرة؛ التمرد بعدما أدركت أن الحياة لن تنصفها إذا لم تكن قوية. هذه الفتاة التي "من بطن الملاك ولدت وإلى بطن الوحش ذهبت"، ما إن رأت عيناها ضوء الشمس حتى تُركت وحيدة في عالمٍ يحكمُهُ الذكور، بدءاً من الأب والعم والأخوة مروراً بالأزواج الذين تزوجت منهم العديد وتطلقت. وسط هذا الضجيج كان لـ "رنا" حلماً؛ "الرسم بالحنَّة" ولأنها موهوبة بَرعت بها إلى درجةٍ اعتبرتها بمثابة الروح للجسد "شكلت الحنّة على جلدي أجمل لوحة تتخيلونها. صيحاتي لم تكن فقط لحلاوة ما رأيت، إنما فرحاً بعودة الروح لجسدي الميت". تلك هي حكاية "رنا" الفنانة والإنسانة التي قررت العيش في عالمٍ هي من اختارته ورسمته وعاشت في داخله.. في قطبها الخاص.. قُطب حِنَّة.من أجواء الرواية نقرأ:"... أنا أريد أن أصنع ذاتي، حتى لو سبحت عكس التيار. نعم فقد نهض الغول المفترس المحشور بداخلي وصاح: "أنا رنا.. رنا التي ستصبح فنانة قديرة مهما دار الزمان".قرّرتُ أن أرسم بطريقة مختلفة.. رسمت مشاعري المفترسة على لوحة كبيرة، متّبعة الفن التكعيبي. أي أن أضع عدة رسمات مختلفة، مع أنها مترابطة بشكل ما، في لوحة واحدة ضخمة. لكن تلك الطريقة لم تشفني، لم تشعرني أني مميزة، لذلك بحثت عن جواب سؤال بقي برأسي منذ الولادة.. كيف سأصبح مشهورة بسبب رسوماتي؟…".
