عن الدار العربية للعلوم ناشرون صدر الجزء الثالث من ثلاثية "المتوحشون" للروائي جاكوب غراي وجاء بعنوان (انتقام الأرملة البيضاء) وفيه نتابع أحداث ما جاء في الجزءين الأوليين المعنونين بـ"رفيق الغربان" و"انقضاض سرب الذباب". فبعد أن تمكن كّاو، خارق الغربان من القضاء على أمّ الذبابات في معركته الأخيرة ضدّ الخارقين الأشرار، هاهو الآن يواجه تداعيات تلك المعركة. فالجيش الّذي شكّلته أمّ الذبابات من المجرمين المساجين الّذين أطلقت سراحهم ومنحت كُلاً منهم قوة خارقة يعيث الخراب والفساد في المدينة. ورغم أنّ الخارقين الجيّدين تمكّنوا من الحدّ من أعمال العنف، إلّا أنّ شيئاً لم يكن في الحسبان قَلَبَ حياة كاو رأساً على عقب، وغيَّر مسار الأحداث. فقد ظهر عدوّه مجدداً!! إذ تمكّن الرجل الدّوّام، خارق العناكب، بطريقة ما من العودة من أرض الموتى، وهاهو الآن يسعى للانتقام من كاو الّذي هزمه سابقاً وقضى على سلالته كلّها. وليحقق خارق العناكب غايته الشريرة استغلّ صديقة كاو سيلينا واحتلّ جسدها، وصار يدعو نفسه الأرملة البيضاء؛ وهو لم يكتفِ بذلك فقط، بل جعل أصدقاء كاو الخارقين ينقلبون ضدّه ويفقدون ثقتهم فيه. فهل سينجح كاو مجدّداً في التّغلّب على خارق العناكب؟ وهل سيتمكن من استعادة ثقة أصدقائه فيه؟ أم أن الشّرّ هو الّذي سينتصر في نهاية المطاف؟!
