مَن قتل كريستوفر ولسن، ولماذا؟ في رواية «عائلة شبه طبيعية» المثيرة، يتألق الكاتب ماتياس ادفاردسون عبر نصب فخ لجميع أبطال روايته ليكتشف مَن مِن أفراد العائلة دبّر جريمة القتل وليبقى القارئ تائهاً في بحر التخمين، ولتنقلب جميع تخميناته في النهاية رأساً على عقب، بعد أن تتغير المعادلات وتدخل أصوات جديدة إلى الحلبة ويسلط الضوء على أشخاص كانوا في الظل.
«عائلة شبه طبيعية» رواية مثيرة مبنية بحرفية مذهلة لتطرح أسئلة عديدة: كم نحن على معرفة بشخصية أولادنا؟ إلى أي مدى يمكن أن نذهب لنحمي من نحب؟ وهل هناك مبرر للقتل؟
من أجواء الرواية نقرأ:

قالت أمينة: "ستكشف الشرطة أن واحدة منا فعلتها. سوف يكتشفون ذلك صحيح؟".

دارتْ كلمات أمينة في رأسي مثل زوبعة. ستكتشف الشرطة أن واحدة منا فعلتها. ولكن، هذا ليس كافياً للإدانة.
نظرتُ إلى أمينة وأنا أفكر في ستيلا. كان قلبي يعتصر ألماً. لا يمكن إدانة شخص ما بجريمة قتل إذا كان هناك مرتكبان محتملان وكان من المستحيل إثبات أي منهما ارتكب الجريمة، أو بدلاً من ذلك، إثبات أنهما كانا متواطئييْن...".
