إن حكاية «سِمفونيّة النور» تشبه الاستمتاع بقطعة موسيقة رائعة، أو الإصغاء لأغنية بصوت عذب رخيم، أو قراءة قصيدة ذات نغمة ونبرة، وقد سكبت فيها الكاتبة سمانثا محيميد من صفاء روحها ووهج شاعريتها ونمنماتها اللغوية والأسلوبية المتنوعة الشيء الكثير.
من أجواء الرواية نقرأ:
"وانبعثت منها وهي مغمضة هكذا دون أن تشعر نقاط ضوئية خضراء صغيرة.. حملها الهواء لتضيء للحظة قلب بائع الورد.. وصبي الجرائد.. والأشجار والأزهار في الشارع.. حتى العصافير والفراشات.. تألقت كلها للحظة بلمسة النور.. وبدا وكأن كل الأشياء تبتسم في تناغم للحظات.. لكن "سام" لم تلحظ ذلك.. حتى فتحت عينيها وهي تأخذ نفساً عميقاً وإحساساً بالسلام يملؤها.. قبل أن تتسع ابتسامتها وهي تقرر الخروج للاستمتاع بذلك الصباح الجميل..
سارت "سام" في الشارع مبتسمة وهي تتأمل كل شيء حولها.. وصوت الموسيقى يملأ خيالها في رفق..".
