اضطلاعًا بمسؤوليّة التفكّر النقديّ الجريء في انسدادات العدالة في الاجتماع العربيّ المعاصر، اعتزم الملتئمون في المؤتمر الفلسفيّ الثالث الذي نظّمته اللجنة الفلسفيّة في المعهد العالي للدكتوراه في الجامعة اللبنانيّة (سنّ الفيل، 3-4 تشرين الثاني 2017) أن يتناولوا جوانب شتّى من الإعضال الفكريّ في مسألة العدالة العربيّة. ذلك أنّ المجتمعات العربيّة تحتاج إلى تطوير مداركها لقضايا العدالة في قرائن العالم العربيّ. وما من سبيل أشدّ تطلّبًا واستنهاضًا من سبيل التفكّر الفلسفيّ النقديّ البنّاء. فالإنسان العربيّ المعاصر يدرك بالفطرة أنّه مظلومٌ ومحرومٌ من أبسط حقوقه، ولكنّه لا يقوى في أغلب الأحيان على تشخيص أسباب الظلم والحرمان. فالعدالة، قيمةً أساسيّةً في الحياة، تقتضي لها ضمّةً من التشريعات الدستوريّة الناظمة، والأحكام القانونيّة الضامنة، والبنى السياسيّة المؤاتية، والقابليّات الذهنيّة الملائمة التي تفتقر إليها وإلى تأوّلها تأوّلًا صحيحًا وتطبيقها تطبيقًا سليمًا معظمُ المجتمعات العربيّة. تتوزّع إشكالات العدالة على محاور أربعة. المحور الأوّل يستخرج خلاصة الآراء الفلسفيّة (اليونانيّة والوسيطيّة والحديثة والمعاصرة) التي ساقها الفلاسفةُ في بناء مفهوم العدالة. المحور الثاني يستعرض تصوّرات الفكر العربيّ الحديث والمعاصر ويتناول إسهامات بعض الفلاسفة العرب الحديثين والمعاصرين. المحوران الثالث والرابع يعالجان مصائر العدالة في قرائن الانتظام الاجتماعيّ والثقافيّ والسياسيّ والاقتصاديّ العربيّ المعاصر.
