"قهوة مُسافرة" هو كتاب يحتوي على حوار داخلي للكاتب مع نفسه عن بشر مروا في حياته.. وعن أماكن لها في جدار ذاكرته الكثير من الرموز والذكريات.. كما يتضمن الكتاب لحظات ومشاعر صادقة للكاتب متجردة من أي أقنعه او مثالية أو زيف، ترجمها الكاتب بدوره على شكل نصوص..
من نصوص الكاتب:
"يوماً ما.. سأرحل عنك إلى الأبد..
سأغادرك.. سأرحل عن الأماكن التي جمعتنا يوماً ما معاً..
سأرحل عن الأحلام التي بنيناها يوماً ما من العدم.. سأرحل عن إسمك.. سأرحل عن صوتك.. عن خزانة ملابسك.. عن عطرك.. عن كتابك المركون على الرف.. عن ساعتك.. عن كوب قهوتك المشروخ.. عن شرفة بيتك التي كانت تطل علينا من خلالها جارتنا العجوز لتُلقي علينا التحية.. وتخبرنا عن أحوال الطقس..
سأرحل عنا نحن..
سألفظ هوائك المكنون في صدري..
ثم سأرحل عن نفسي منك..".
كما تضمن الكتاب عدّة رسائل مثل:
"كنت تطلب مني لأيام.. وأشهر.. وسنين.. أن أردَّ عليك ولو بكلمة، وها أنا اليوم أرد عليك بكتاب!".
بشكل عام، الكتاب يحمل بين طياته الكثير من الصدق في الكلمات والبساطة في التعبير.. اما عن اُسلوب الكاتب، فمن الواضح انه متأثر بأسلوب (تيار الوعي) في سرد نصوصه، مثل نص (يا غريب)، و(رصيف محطة القطار رقم 1)، و(طير جارح)، و(ترتيب لقاء). وهو اُسلوب منتشر في الأدب الإنجليزي. ومؤسس ذلك الأسلوب هو الكاتب الإيرلندي (جيمس جويس) وتبنّته وطورت منه فيما بعدالكاتبة الإنجليزية (فيرجينيا وولف).
