اريامهر نامه رواية آسرة وثرية وتقتحم عالماً غير مألوف في الروايات العربية: عالم إيران بكل تعقيده التاريخي والجغرافي والسياسي والديني والقومي. تبدأ مع بداية القرن العشرين، ثم تذهب بعيداً في الحفر عميقاً في طبقات تاريخها المتطاول.
يتداخل في الرواية ثلاثة أزمنة سردية، زمن أول خاطف ينبعث من صميم أحداث الربيع العربي، حيث يتابع شاب عربي عاشق للتاريخ قصة الشاهنشاه الإيراني المهووس بتاريخ بلاده، ويسلط اهتمامه على حركات إيران الوطنية المقاومة لخطط الغرب للهيمنة على السياسة والنفط، وكذلك حركاتها الإسلامية المقاومة لدولة الشاه العلمانية، ويُسقط كل ذلك على ما يجري في ثورات الربيع العربي. وهذا كلّه يجري عبر التراسل مع فرح بهلوي آخر إمبراطورة إيرانية.
وفي الزمن الثاني، يتصدر شاه إيران وحياته مشهد الأحداث بدءاً من زواجاته المتكررة بحثاً عن ولي العهد ووارث العرش، ووصولاً إلى هوسه بالمجد الإيراني القديم وإصراره الغريب على استعادة أمجاد الآريين قبل الإسلام، الأخمينيين والساسانيين، وهو الهوس الذي بلغ أوجه في تتويج نفسه ملكاً أسطورياً بلقب "اريامهر"، أو نور الآريين. وهذا هو محور الزمن الثالث في الرواية.
تتضافر هذه الأزمنة الثلاثة في صنع حبكة الرواية عبر انتقالات السرد السلسة بين أحداث الربيع العربي وحكاية شاه إيران وتاريخ النور الآري. كما أن الرواية تحفر عميقا في رموز الدولة البهلوية المستعرضة في الدرع البهلوي، وعلمها، ونشيدها الإمبراطوري، والتي تستوحي جميعها إرث إيران ما قبل الإسلام، والذي يحمل في طيّاته فخراً بالديانة الزرادشتية القديمة، الأمر الذي يخلق حساسية مع المؤسسة الدينية المحافظة. وتأخذ الرواية بعداً جديداً بالتقاء الشاب العربي السيدة الأولى للدولة البهلوية، الإمبراطورة فرح بهلوي في باريس، حيث تنفتح ملفات حساسة، بعضها قديم مثل "الحركة الشعوبية" "والتشيع الإيراني"، والآخر حديث مثل "الانقلاب على مصدق"، و"الماسونية الإيرانية"، و"صفقات شركات النفط المشبوهة".
