قاطعه عبد السلام: «ركّز معي يا عم، إنك تبدو غريباً في سجنك، كأنك ترى شخصاً لأول مرة تتحدث إليه».
فتح العجوز عينيه الضعيفتين بصعوبة وقال: «نعم يا بني، فعلاً أنا لم أر في هذا المكان غير وجه سجاني الذي يأتيني بالطعام بين وقت وآخر، دون أن ينطق بكلمة».
– غريب أمرك يا عم، من أين أنت؟
– أنا من بيت المقدس..
– بيت المقدس!، أليس من الغريب أن تكون من بيت المقدس، ومسجوناً في قلعة الصقور عند المتطرفين!
– والله إني من هناك، لكن الغريب أن تكون غربتي داخل بيتي ووطني..
