يتذكّر شغفه وتعلّقه بالعمارة، فتطفو صورة الفرهود، صديقه الوحيد في الحيّ الجديد. يستعيد مشاويره معه: من شارع ليون، نزولاً إلى شارع جان دارك فشارع الحمراء عند مكتبة فور ستبس داون.
وإذ بالماضي يمدّ خيوطه نحو الحاضر بمجموعة صور فوتوغرافيّة، سُرعان ما تُفصح عن أسرار مَن مرّ على الحيّ. صور خالوها اختفت فإذ بها تعود لتُطلَّ عليهم فتُبَلبل حاضرهم .
