ما إن وصل أبو العلاء المعرّي ذات يوم إلى “مقهى الكوكبة”، في السماء السابعة والسبعين، حتى استلم إس إم إسًّا من أمينيائيل، مدير مكتب “الأعلى جدًّا”، يطلب فيه بأدبٍ من أبي العلاء الهبوط إلى الأرض من جديد لكتابة تقريرٍ عن أوضاعها الحاليّة الغامضة، لاسيّما عن أحوال بلاد العرب التي عجز أمينيائيل والأعلى جدًّا عن استيعابها.رفض أبو العلاء العودة إلى الأرض التي لم يُكنّ لها في حياته الأولى غير السأم والنفور.لجأ أمينيائيل إلى مناورةٍ عبقريّة قادت أبا العلاء إلى طالبته الساحرة اللذيذة ومعشوقته الخالدة، هند، وإلى فلذة كبدهما ذات الذكاء الخارق والجمال الأوحد: نور.حبيب عبد الربّ سروري روائيّ يمنيّ يعيش في فرنسا حيث يعمل بروفيسورًا في علوم الكومبيوتر. صدرتْ له عن دار الآداب ثلاثيّة روائيّة: دملان، وعرق الآلهة، وطائر الخراب.
