Book Description
في أزمان الخوف والخطر والموت يصبح المنفى ملاذاً لا بد منه، ومكاناً قسرياً لا يمكن تفاديه أو مقاومته.
من عالم الحرب والنار والعسف في العراق، يهرب يونس بطل الرواية إلى أصقاع النبذ والعنصرية في الغرب، فيصدم بجدران من الكراهية، واحتقار ثقافة الأجنبي، وعدم قبولها. وإذ يضحى المنفى قدراً مفروضاً عليه، وعزلة مسورة برض الأوروبيين للغرباء: فإنه يلجأ إلى ماضيه كونه الجنة الوحيدة المتاحة له: الماضي الجميل، البعيد، الشاحب، والعذب. وحين يقرر يونس العودة إلى وطنه، والإقامة فيه رغم حراب الاحتلال، تأخذ الرواية منحىً جديداً، وبعداً مغايراً. "هواء قليل" حكاية المنفى والمنفيين في أوروبا المعاصرة.
