(حياة) تلك الفتاة القوية التي اوقعها حبها العاثر في قصة حب مستحيلة دينيا وعرفيا وخصوصا ايام الاحتلال الفرنسي البغيضة وعلي الرغم من هذا فقد تحدت الجميع من اجل حبها. (جان) ذلك الجزار الفرنسي التي تعرض للخيانة من زوجته ليعيش بعدها بلا قلب وعلي الدماء والبطش حتي يقع في تلك العيون الشرقية.(اسماعيل) العاشق المتيم ولكن بدون امل. الواقع ان الرواية حافلة بالشخصيات ذات الدور المحوري والفعال. مثل ~علي الحداد ~ ورد الصواف~الشيخ مرزوق~ وغيرهم لو تحدثنا عن تلك الشخصيات ب استفاضه لن يكفينا ذلك الريفيو قط. رواية ماتعة حافلة بمشاعر شتي وبين الماضي والحاضر والخيال والواقع عايشنا معاا ( نسائم البارود)
