إلهام منصور، روائية وباحثة وأستاذة فلسفة في الجامعة اللبنانية، عرفت بتشجيعها للتحرر النسائي وقضاياه.
صدرت لها عدّة روايات ودراسات فلسفية.
حصلت على بكالوريوس وماجستير في الفلسفة من الجامعة اللبنانية حيث كانت أول من كتب رسالة عن تحرير المرأة عام 1972 كما نالت دكتوراه في الفلسفة من جامعة السوربون.
وهي من أوائل الذين تجرأوا على كسر المحرّمات وخاصة عند المرأة في العالم العربي.

يحكي بيتي وإلهام/هبى تسمع. تتفاعل ذاكرتها معه، فما يقصّه جزء من كيانها هي أيضًا. ذكرياته، بأحداثها وصورها، تعيد تكوين ذاكرتها هي، تشكلّها وتظهرها وفقًا لمزاجها ومخيّلتها. بعد أقل من شهر على زيارتي له ومكوثي في حضنه لأيام، كنا مجتمعين يوم الأحد كالعادة عند الوالدة حين دخل علينا ألبير والحزن بادٍ على وجهه، ومن دون أن نوجّه إليه أي سؤال، أخرج هاتفه الجوّال من جيبه ووجّه نحونا صورة وقال هذا كل ما بقي منه. وأجبته هذه الصورة باتت كلّ الحكاية. وما أن قلت ذلك حتى لمع في رأسي عنوان جديد لروايتي وهو صورة على هاتفٍ جوّال يموت ببطء. تذهب إلى الضيعة، إلى رأس بعلبك على الحدود اللبنانية-السورية لملاقاته فيفرغ ذاكرته فيها، لعلّه يبقى حيًّا بها. وكي يخبرها بقصّته كاملةً، يشترط أن تغير اسمها من الهام إلى هبى، الإسم الذي لطالما تمنى لو أن أمها أطلقته عليها.
ولد بيتي سنة 1900. عَرَف أوّل فرن حطب وكان أول من ارتدى الطربوش الأحمر. عايش جدّها، سيّده الشيخ خليل، وكان له عبدًا مطيعًا لم يتركه لحظة وخير أمين لكل ما يجول في خاطره. وها هو اليوم يغيب شيئا فشيئا، فهل تغادر معه ذاكرة زمانٍ ووطنٍ اسمه لبنان؟
