"القصص القرآني" تحليل جديد وعلمي لقصص الأنبياء. يتابع المؤلّف في الجزء الثاني منه السير على طريق النبوات ليرى كيف تراكمت علوم النبوة ومعارفها، وكيف اكتشف الإنسان النار ودفن الموتى، ثم كيف تعلّم على يد نوح اجتياز الحواجز المائية، وعلى يد شعيب الوفاء بالكيل والميزان، وعلى يد يوسف ادخار محاصيل مواسم الخير لأيام القحط.
ويتابع السير على طريق الرسالات ليرى كيف تنوّعت الشرائع وتطوّرت من شرائع حدية إلى شرائع حدودية، مع ميل واضح إلى التسهيل والتخفيف؛ وكيف اختلفت الشعائر، من حيث الشكل، في صورتها التعبدية. فالصوم كان صوماً عن الكلام مطلقاً، وصار صوماً عن الطعام والشراب وملامسة النساء واجتناب الكلام البذيء والفاحش، والصلاة كانت دعاءً وذكراً، ثم أخذت شكلاً شعائرياً قياماً وقعوداً وركوعاً وسجوداً يشترط فيها الخشوع.
