نشأت الأديان وتطوّرت عبر الأزمان وتوالدت االثقافات الروحية وتوالت مع تتابع مؤسّسي الديانات والرسل عبر التاريخ.
إن التراث الروحي للإنسانية يُدخلنا إلى صميم كل دين من الأديان الكبرى التي يستعرضها هذا الكتاب من وجهة نظر علاقة كل منها بالآخر واستقلاله عن غيره أيضاً. ويظهر أن التفاهم بين الأديان يحمل رسالة تفرّد كل دين بتقاليده وقابلية الانسجام والتوافق بينها على السواء. ونحن نحتاج اليوم إلى هذا الانفتاح الذي يبدّد الكراهية ويزيل الخوف والتعصّب ويبعث فينا الوعي العام بوحدتنا.
