ويرى المؤلّف أن القرآن قدّم قراءته الجديدة التي سماها "التلاوة بالحق"، للقصص نفسها المتداولة بين الناس في زمن النزول، والمشكِّلة لعقلياتهم وثقافاتهم وتصوراتهم للعالم والغيب والإنسان. كما قام القرآن بمراجعته النقدية وقدّم اقتراحات مفيدةتنفذ إلى أعماق النفس الإنسانية، وتكشف عن السنن التاريخية، وتبيّن أسرار الاجتماع الإنساني، وقواعد السلوك والعلاقات بين الناس، على المستويات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والسياسية وغيرها.
