تبدأ هذه الرواية الغريبة بصرخات" أزهار" مؤذنةً بأنَّ لحظة الولادة قد حانت، لم تكن المشكلة عند أزهار أنّها لم تتم عامها السابع عشر بعد أو أنّها ما زالت في بداية شهرها السابع من الحمل بل كانت مشكلتها بأنَّ زوجها لم يكن بقربها في تلك اللحظات العصيبة..
لم يشأ أحمد أن يتركها بعد أول شهرٍ من الزواج ولكنّه أراد أن يتدبر أمره لينتقل بها للعيش بشكلٍ كامل في القاهرة .. القاهرة التي أخذت منه الكثير ولم تعطه شيئًا، فلطالما حلمت "أزهار" أن تسافر إليها ولو لمرة واحدة..وها هو يعود اليوم بعد أن جهّز لها ولطفله المنتظر بيت الأحلام ليجد ما لم يخطر بباله أبدًا...فهل سيحتمل عقله كلَّ هذا الذي يحدث؟!
ستأخذك هذه الرواية إلى عوالم أخرى وأنت في مكانك وستبحر بك إلى عمق النفس الإنسانية، فالخلل الذي أصاب البطل سوف يخلقُ صراعًا من نوعٍ آخر ويقود الأحداث إلى منعطفٍ خطير..!!
