ليست هذه اللحظات التلفزيونية مجرّد لقطات مبعثرة من أرشيف مغبَرّ... وإنّما هي محطات صنعت الثقافة الشعبية لأسطورة وطنٍ وذاكرة شعبٍ بنى حلماً سمّاه لبنان، وعاد وحطّمه في علبةٍ صغيرةٍ احتلت غرفة الجلوس في كلّ بيت.
تختزل لحظات هذا الكتاب أحلام ثلاثة أجيالٍ من اللبنانيين وخيباتهم. يرويها كما أظهرتها الشاشة الصغيرة. بعضها حاضرٌ فينا، وبعضها ضاع وغاب... أو هكذا اعتقدنا. لا شيء يضيع في صندوق الذاكرة... ننسى وحسب لنفاجأ في لحظة واحدة كم أنّنا نتذكر.

صورٌ نادرةٌ من أزمنٍة مضت. نجومٌ لمعت وخبت. طرائفُ وأخبار لم ولن تخبرنا إيّاها المذيعة الرصينة. حكاياتٌ مثيرة شغلت الكواليس. مشاحنات سياسية استعرت في الاستديو، لم يصلنا منها سوى ابتسامةٍ لائقةٍ تمليها أضواء الكاميرات
