قال الروائي هاني عبد المريد، إن رواية "أنا العالم" خرجت للنور بعد مرور 6 سنوات من المكوث عليها والتي تدور أحداثها عن شارع محمد علي، لافتًا إلى أن رواية انا العالم جسدت شخصية يوسف الذي يعيش حالة من الوحدة والعزلة عن المجتمع فيجد نفسه عالمًا بذاته.
وأضاف عبد المريد، خلال لقائه مع الإعلاميين ولاء غانم وكارلوس ناشف، ببرنامج يوم جديد المذاع على فضائية الغد، أن رواية " أنا العالم" حصلت على جائزة الدولة التشجيعية عام 2018، موضحًا أن هناك كتاب لامعين مثل نجيب محفوظ وجمال الغيطاني وخيري شلبي وأمين ريان حصلوا على مثل هذه الجائزة من قبل.
وأشار الروائي المصري إلى أن جائزة الدولة التشجيعية تمثل تقديرًا من الدولة للكتاب المبدعين، موضحًا أن رواية "محاولة الإيقاع بشبح" تحتفي بالخيال وتقوم على التشويق، حيث انتقلت من الكتابة الواقعية إلى الكتابة العبثية.
يذكر أن هاني عبد المريد يعتبر من الأدباء الذين يمتلكون قراءة لغوية مميزة، له أكثر من مجموعة قصصية أبرزها «إغماء داخل تابوت» و«أساطير الأولين» التي حصلت على جائزة ساويرس لشباب الأدباء في عام 2013 كما له عدة روايات حصل بعضها على جوائز مختلفة كان آخرها «أنا العالم» التي نالت جائزة الدولة التشجيعية عام 2018.
