راوي حاج كاتبٌ لبناني-كندي ومصوّر محترف.
ولد في بيروت وترعرع بين بيروت وقبرص 1 يناير 1964 .
ثم انتقل الى نيويورك عام 1982، وبعد انهاء دراسته في معهد نيويورك للتصوير، انتقل الى مونتريال حيث درس الفنون.
روايته الأولى هذه حازت جوائز مرموقة في العام 2006، منها جائزة Hugh MacLennan للرواية وجائزة McAuslan First Book Prize عن النوع الأدبي.
كما رُشّحت بين روايات قليلة لجائزة ScotiaBank Giller في العام 2006 وجائزة Governer’s General Award في العام 2006، اضافة الى جائزة Rogers Writer's Trust Fiction في العام 2007 وجائزة Commonwealth Writer's Prize (Canada and the Caribbean): Best First Book في العام 2007 أيضاً.

رواية تكشف كل هذه الأسرار وهي تتحدَّث ببساطة عن يوميات صديقين حميمين حتى القتل والخيانة. شهدا فصولاً من حرب لبنان البشعة، وهما يشبّحان في بيروت وضواحيها على رجالها ونسوتها وفتياتها القاصرات، ويتورطان في القتل فرديّاً وجماعيّاً، وهما يجولان مع السفلة في أجواء كل التعاطيات مباحة فيها!
رواية وكأن أحداً أفضى بكل شيء!!
