منذ أيام فوجئت بأن الكيان القاطن في منزلي قام بتبديل أدراج الجوارب بأدراج الملابس الداخلية، لم أفهم تلك الخطوة، ولكني انقبضت، ومن يومها وأنا أشعر بأنفاسه على رقبتي كلما جلست أو وقفت أو نمت في المنزل، أستدير فجأة فلا أجده، أستدير بشكل أسرع فلا أجده، أظل ألف حولي في دائرة، أشعر به يلف أمامي بنفس الخطوات وكأننا نرقص، وإذا أوليته ظهري، يظل يتقافز خلفي وهو يظهر لي لسانه، يعايرني بالجبن، بعض قطرات الدماء المتناثرة من السيدة تجمدت على إصبعي، حككته في الكرسي الجالس عليه، ثم اقتربت بأنفي منه وشممته، واقترحت على السائق: "ما تشغلنا حاجة نسمعها".
