حمَّلتُ قافيتي متاعبَ وصفي
ومضيتُ للمعنى لأكمل نصفي
وقد اخترعتُ من الأسى أوزانه
والجوقةُ الحمقاء تفسدُ عزفي
بالشاعر المغمور تبدأ رحلتي
يأبى طريقاً فيه شبهة عطفِ
ماذا يريد المترفون من الذي
لولا قصائدُه لكان المنفي
أمضي أحاولُ أن أحدد وجهتي
لكنَّ ريحَ الحزنِ تتقنُ عصفي
لو كان في نفط الجزيرة موردٌ
أرتاح فيه لكنتُ أول ضيفِ
لا الأرض أمي لا القبيلة والدي
هل كان إثماً أن نطقت بأفِّ؟
