تقرر (ساجي) أن تسترق لحظات من الصفاء أمام الشاطئ الخالي من المتطفلين في ذلك المكان المليء بالصخور، فتختار إحداها لتجلس عليها مواجهة زرقة البحر التي لم تخذلها في يوم، وتطلق لمشاعرها العنان فتتذكر كيف كان (حسن) يستمتع بهذه البقعة من الشاطئ فيملأ الأمل جنبات نفسها وتصبو روحها ليوم كاد أن يقترب تحتضن فيه طفلها المفقود في حنان، فتفر دمعات دافئة من عينيها تبلل خديها ومن ثم تواصل طريقها لتلتقي رذاذ البحر الذي لا يزال يصدم الصخور في رقة وشاعرية.
سطور من واحدة من ثلاثة قصص احتوتها رواية (براويز)، تغوص خلالها الكاتبة في أحداث مثيرة لثلاث سيدات مصريات، لتسقط الضوء من خلالها على معاني الخيانة والخسارة والأمل، حيث تدور وقائع الرواية في منزل أسرة سكندرية، مابين الجدة(نانا) وحفيدتها(سلمى) من خلال ذكريات الجدة عن مجموعة من الصور التي تزين طاولة بغرفة المعيشة ببيت العائلة يربطها خيط رفيع ينسج مشاعر الغضب والريبة والأمل في غد أكثر إشراقا ويعكس فترات صنعت تاريخ الوطن في السنوات القليلة الماضية.
