كانت فهيمة ثابت (توفيت سنة 1978) من أوليات الملتحقات بلجنة الوفد النسائية وجمعية المرأة الجديدة، وقد تطوَّعت لمرافقة أم المصريين صفية زغلول للحاق بسعد زغلول فى منفاه الأخير فى جبل طارق، بعد أن ساءت صحته وأرسل يستدعى زوجته، فأتت هى والسيدة فهيمة ثابت وسعيد بك زغلول وخادم وخادمة فى شهر اكتوبر من عام 1922، وظلوا فى صحبة سعد حتى سُمح لهم جميعا بمغادرة جبل طارق إلى فرنسا فى أبريل سنة 1923، ومن فرنسا إلى مصر فى سبتمبر من نفس العام. وقد سجلت فهيمه ثابت فى مذكراتها هذه تفاصيل إقامتها هى وزعيم الامة وأم المصريين من لحظة سفرها وحتى وصولهم إلى مصر. وأهدت هذا الكتاب إلى ذكرى أم المصريين.
