هذا الكتاب يلخص هزل تجربة مشوار نحو ثلاثين سنة في دهاليز ودروب منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا وآسيا الوسطى مع الشركات العملاقة أو ما تعرف بــ Fortune 500 companies، مئات من المواقف الغريبة والتجارب المضحكة قرر الكاتب أن يشاركها مع القارئ من الناحية الحياتية التي تهم وتسلي أغلب الناس وليس من الناحية الحرفية التي يختص بها أصحاب الحرفة، وهذه التجربة تتعدى مرحلة الهزل في أوقات كثيرة لتصل إلى مرحلة المسخرة الرفيعة، مع صعود الكاتب للسلم الوظيفي تقلد وظائف ومسئوليات في بلاد مختلفة وكثيرًا ما كانت في فترات فاصلة من تاريخها: ليبيا تحت الحصار؛ العراق في برنامج النفط مقابل الغذاء، جمهوريات آسيا الوسطى فور استقلالها عن الاتحاد السوفيتي، اليمن بعد اتحاد شماله وجنوبه... إلخ.
هذا الكتاب حاول أيضا أن يلقي الضوء على بعض الأمور التي قد يكون كلها أو بعضها مشوش الصورة في أذهان الكثيرين ومنها السحر، وممارسات الشيعة في إيران، تاريخ تعدد الزوجات في المغرب العربي..... إلخ، حيث أتاح قرب التجربة والمعاينة الفعلية في نقل رؤية أوضح عمَّا استقر في مفهوم الكثيرين.
