لوك فيري فيلسوف فرنسي ولد سنة 1952. شغل منصب وزير التربية والتعليم في فرنسا في عهد رئيس الوزراء جون بيير رافاران ما بين 2002 و2004. هو واحد من الفلاسفة الجدد، الذين أحدثوا تحولا عميقا في الأوساط الفلسفية السائدة، برموزها المعروفة أمثال جاك دريدا وجاك لاكان وجيل دولوز وميشال فوكو...، لاعتقادهم أنّ الفلسفة ضلت الطريق بتوغلها في مباحث فكرية ومعرفية عويصة ومعقدة لا يفهمها إلا خاصّة الخاصّة. لقي هذا التيار الجديد نجاحا غير مسبوق لانتهاجه خطابا مبسَطا في تحليل القضايا الراهنة التي تشغل إنسان هذا العصر. ومن رموزه البارزة التي لقيت كتاباتها إقبالا شديددا لدى عامّة القرّاء، إلى جانب لوك فيري، أندري كونت سبونفيل وميشال أونفري... بعد تخرّجه من السوربون ثم من هيدلبرغ بألمانيا في أواسط السبعينات، التحق لوك فيري بالتدريس، فدرّس الفلسفة والعلوم السياسية في جامعات فرنسية كثيرة، وبدأ نشر إنتاجه منذ 1985 بكتاب ينتقد الفكر الفلسفي السائد، وعنوانه «مقال في مناهضة الإنسية المعاصرة» ثم أصدر كتابا بعنوان «النظام الإيكولوجي الجديد» وآخر بعنوان «الإنسان الإله أو معنى الحياة».
