تضم هذه المجموعة من القصائد النثرية التجريبية عدداً من الرسائل الموجهة إلى من يهمهم الأمر. وعلى الرغم من إتقان الشاعر لبحور الشعر الخليلية كما تبين في ديوانيه (وشم على شفاه القمر) و (هولاكو يغتصب المدينة) إلا أنه ركز في هذه المجموعة الشعرية على مضمون القصائد (مع الحفاظ على الإيقاع الموسيقي) دون الاهتمام بالشكل التقليدي للقصيدة لأن الشاعر يرى أن ما حدث في العراق من مذابح ومجازر ومآسي وتدمير وتخريب وقتل وسفك للدماء لا يمكن التعبير عنه سوى بأسلوب تجريبي ما بعد حداثي يجسد هذه الفوضى وهذا الدمار الرهيب؛ لأن الشعر التقليدي من المفترض أن يعكس قيمًا تاريخية ودينية راسخة وهياكل اجتماعية ثابتة و نظاما سياسيا مستقلا قادرا على تحقيق طموحات شعبه ومجتمعًا متسقاً مع ذاته، و بلا ريب فإن العراق في وضعه الحالي يفتقر إلى كل هذه المقومات بعدما تمزقت البلاد و تعددت الطوائف والأحزاب التي تتصارع من أجل تنفيذ أجندات خارجية ليس لها علاقة بالمصلحة الوطنية العليا.
