هذا البيان من أجل الحق في المعرفة وحرية التعبير ، والذي كتب عام 2009 في سياق فرنسي ، ويدافع إذاً عن مثل لا حدود لها ، تمتد من ضفاف نهر السين إلي ضفاف النيل . إلا أن خصمها لا حدود له أيضاً : إنها سياسة الخوف التي تتحجج بالتهديدات الإرهابية وحالات الطوارئ الأمنية لكي تقلل من حرياتنا ، بل بالأحري لكي تدوس عليها بالأقدام. ولكن هذه السياسات العمياء لا تفعل سوي أنها تزيد من تفاقم الكارثة، وذلك عن طريق منح الإيديولوجيات الشمولية ، التي تعزز سياسة الترهيب، أعظم انتصاراتها، ألا وهو التخلي عن الفكرة المثالية للديموقراطية . هذه السياسات هي غير مسئولة في تلك اللحظة، كما أنها غير فعالة مع مرور الوقت .
